MDS Scrapbbook Page and Announcement!

Hello everyone and today I am sharing 1st two pages I did in my grandson's album was of my daughter's baby shower.  I just wanted Michael to know how much he was loved and who was there.  So I tried to choose the best photos I could for these pages.  So here is page # 1!

And here is page 2 of this one.  It will actually be page 5 and 6 once I get them printed and into the album.

And now on with the announcement!

My sweet grandson, Michael Scott McMillan, Jr was born yesterday morning, February 25, 2013 at 1:05 am weighing in at 8.8 lbs, 21 inches long and just as beautiful as ever.  Here are some of the photos I will be adding in pages during the next few weeks to his scrapbook. He is so alert to be less than a day in the first two photos and just over 1 day in the other photos.

Michael and His Cousin Morgan

Now how cute is that!  He is precious.  Now the only one I did not have yet is a photo of my other grandson Nathan who is 2 holding him.  That is Morgan's brother.  Don't worry you will see one soon.  My daughter was just scared he would destroy the baby wing. lol

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a very blessed day!  Mine has been blessed greatly with healthy children and 4 healthy grandchildren.

LNS/TSSC Monday Challenges

Happy Monday Morning everyone and hope you had a fabulous weekend.  I had a great weekend and am still waiting on my Grandson to arrive, but it should not be long now. Due date is Saturday, but I think earlier this week.

This week Mary Jo has a wonderful sketch for us for our Lunchtime Monday Sketch and I combined it with our Late Night Stampers challenge  of Happy Birthday.  If you remember a couple of weeks ago I made another card with this stamp set and the same numbers.  Well not only do we have a friend who will be turning 63, my brother turns 63 March 3rd and we are so blessed to have had him for 63 years as he is down syndrome and was not suppose to have lived into his 30's per the medical doctor 63 years ago.  So each day we have him longer we feel truly blessed.  So that is the reason behind have two birthday cards with the same age on them.  Actually our friends birthday is March 1st, two days before my brothers.

Now here is a side view of this card.

All items used are Stampin Up!
Stamp Set: Memorable Moments
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Midnight Muse
Designer Series Paper: Comfort Cafe

1st Page of Baby Michael's book

Hello everyone and hope you have had a wonderful week.  I am so excited to be able to share with you the first page of my soon to be born grandson's scrapbook.  I did two pages last week and shared which you can find here, and they will be the second and third page of the book.  This is also for this weeks LNS challenge which is sale-a-brating, MDS Monday sketch, and I am also going to enter it into the SUO Challenge as they are sale-a-brating this week also.  So here is my page using a template from the Sale-a-bration CD "Lemonade Stand."  If you click on the image it will take you to another screen where you can see the page a little better and the outline of the white background.

I did change some of the colors in the numbers to match the "Our little man words which came from the digital kit "On the Go," but the layout and all came from the digital content of "Lemonade Stand."  These are 4-D images that were done at 16 weeks when we found out it was going to be a boy and then the bottom 2 are images when she was 32 weeks along.  Tomorrow my daughter will be 39 weeks along.  We will be having a baby at anytime now.  Can you tell I am excited!!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Hymn & Scripture Challenge 2013/Hymn #3 My Faith Looks Up to Thee

This is another beautiful hymn, but one I am not that familiar with.  But, again, it is beautiful and one with some of the most beautiful words I know.  The title tells it all, as our faith should look up to Him, JESUS!  He is the one that can take our sin away, the only one who can forgive us of our sin.  So my faith has to be in Him!

For some reason Psalm 23 kept coming to mind as I was doing my page, so when it was all said and done, I just put Psalm 23 at the top of the page. "The Lord is my Shepherd."

And, if you would like to hear this fabulous hymn you can click herePatter has a wonderful post on her blog about this hymn and it's origination and also a wonderful devotion you will not want to miss.  So please stop over and visit her blog, Triple the Scraps.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day!

Spinner Valentine

Well this is for my oldest granddaughter who already thinks she is grown but only 9 years old, but boy does she love sparkle.  So I had to use some retired designer paper that had glimmer and then I used the red and silver glimmer paper to finish it off.  I really think she will like it just as she does those cute silver shoes she has.  Wears them all the time.  I was not too straight on the cutting and almost re-did it, and thought, she will love it anyway - No use to stress: Stampin' is suppose to be fun! lol

This is another idea I got from Stampin' Fun and Friends.  Here is a view with the heart moved to the center.

And a side view!

And yes, I worked on the inside also.

All items used are Stampin' Up!

Card Stock: Real Red, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Holly Berry Bouquet

I Dig You Valentine

Hello all!  This is a valentine I did for my 2 year old grandson on Sunday and finally got the pictures taken this morning bright and early.  I am really happy with it and this another idea I got from Stampin' Fun and Friends this past week.  I love to get inspiration from others.  The one I got the idea from really had a beautiful card, but for a boy you only need to go cute, not fancy!  Now one thing you may want to know about this card is it does lay flat to go into an envelope.  So here it is flat.  Still cute isn't it?  You will see my fingers as I was holding it down.

Now how cool is this.  I thought about cutting the animals totally out, but thought Nathan will not care if it is only half cut out.  He loves me regardless!!!!

All items used is Stampin' Up!
Stamp Set: I Dig You, Road to Happiness (hearts), Teeny Tiny wishes
Card Stock: Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Marina Mist, Early Espresso
Designer Series paper: retired and uncertain of name, but in Christmas pack
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Marina Mist, Early Espresso

Bitty Banner Framelits
Corner Punch

Thanks for looking and hope you have a wonderful day!

LNS/TSSC Monday Challenge

Well here I am again with this weeks LateNightStamper's challenge combined with this weeks Monday Lunchtime Challenge.  Just seems like I have so much going on and the only way to get it all done is to combine things to make less work.  I do enjoy being on the DT of these two teams as it keeps me challenged to stamp.  And all of the girls on both teams are just fabulous!!!!  So the challenge at LNS this week was to use one of the Sale-a-bration items from Stampin' Up!  And of course I combined it with the sketch from Monday Lunchtime Sketch over at TSSC.  So here it is!

My sale-a-bration item for this was the cute bicycle from the stamp set called Feeling Sentimental. I am just loving that set and you will see more from it.

Spinner/Shaker Card

Hello all! I am planned on having this posted earlier today, but my dear husband has been sick.  During church this morning I get a text from him saying, "I think it is time for me to go see a Dr."  I had tried all day yesterday to get him to go, but with no luck.  So he misses church this morning and then I have to leave as soon as church is over to come home and take him to Medac.  Anyway, he is sleeping now with some antibiotics in him and hopefully will feel better in a couple of days.  So anyway, back to the card!  Over at Stampin' Fun and friends one of the projects that was posted was a spinner card which also had another feature to it, a shaker feature.  So I fell in love with it and had to try it.  I love this old stamp set which has retired, but wanted to use it for this card.  You will probably remember it once you see the photo.  So here it is.

Do you remember this stamp set called "Crab and Company."  One of my most favorite sets.  Now as you can see by the card, you can move the crab from one side of the card to the other.

See how I moved him more toward the center.

Now another thing about this card is the shaker part of it.  At this point, I had forgotten to shake up the little hearts that are inside the circle.  I hope you can see them better with the next photo.

Mad it a little closer and shook up the hearts that are inside.  How cute is that?

And here is another view from the side showing the thickness of the circle.

I used the largest shaker frame by SU as I used a large circle.  If you would love to get the directions for this card (or the technique as her card was different) just check out the information for Stampin' Fun and Friends on my side bar.  I have joined them the last three sessions and have not been disappointed.

So now to get busy on the cards for the other two grandchildren.  The fun never ends does it?

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Sets: Crab and Company, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card Stock: Primrose Petals, Very Vanilla, Island Indigo
Designer Series Paper: Fan Fair
Ink: Island Indigo
Markers and Shimmer Paint for crab
Punches: 2 3/8" scallop, 1 3/8" circle, Window, Modern Label, small heart

Serene Silhouettes

Good Friday Morning all and hope your day has started out beautifully.  I am at work and thought I would take a moment to post this and then back to the grind before someone catches me and fires me.  Anyway this note card (that is what I want to use it as) was inspired by this weeks Try Stampin' On Tuesday.  I loved the sketch and thought it would be perfect for this cute stamp set and I think I was right.  I stamped the image on very vanilla textured card stock and then punched it out with the 1 3/4 round punch which gave a little bit of layer of vanilla.  Then I punched out the scallop layer with the 2 3/8 scallop punch.  Makes it look like three layers, but only two.

Here is the side view!

And the inside where I can put a note!

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Set: Serene Silhouettes
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Gumball Green, Primrose Petals
Designer Series Paper: Print Poetry Stack

Feeling Sentimental

I was so excited to finally get this stamp set which is called Feeling Sentimental.  It is one of Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration stamp sets and I just love it.  I was excited when I saw this sketch from "A Die for a Sketch."  It was perfect for what I wanted to do and it did work great.  I actually used an embossing folder instead of a die, so I hope that is OK, but if not that is OK also.  Still love the sketch and I love how the card turned out.  Could have used a die, but did not think of it until afterwards and by then it was too late.  So here is my "Feeling Sentimental Card."

As you can see, I used the Large Rhinestones and colored them with a Sharpie.  Worked wonderfully!

Here is the side view!

And the inside which I will wait to decide what kind of card to make it as you can use this for a birthday card, graduation card, any kind of celebration card.  That is always the best.

All items used are Stampin' Up!
Stamp Set: Feeling Sentimental (SAB set)
Card Stock: Midnight Muse, Summer Starburst, Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Print Poetry Stack

Start of Baby Book - My Digital Studio

My daughter is expecting a little boy in the next couple of weeks and so she went and had pictures taken with the family.  So I thought I would add this special event to our Grandson's photo book I am starting for him.  I did two pages last night and was so excited I could not wait to share.  Here is the first page!

And here is the second page!

Now I guess I will have to work on the shower pictures as they need attention soon also.  With this being the 4th grandchild, don't know if I will be able to catch up!  Won't hurt to try though.

My Digital Studio was used for these pages and "On the Go Digital Kit."

Artisan Embellishments Kit

I love this Artisan Embellishments Kit our of the SU Occasions Catalog. I have made a couple of projects out of it, but when I saw this sketch from Unscripted Sketches and the Challenge from Sunny Challenges and Creations (love), I decided to use it for this card and to make it a wedding card as I don't send that many valentines.

I did a lot of sponging on it to give it a little more color as I was using white and very vanilla paper.  Here is a side view of the card!

And I love the inside of the card!  I stamped the "happy I do day" to give it more of the wedding feel!

I found this free digital online of 1 Corinthians 13 and added it in My Digital Studio and printed it out.  Then tour around the edges to also give it dimension. Here is a close up of the scripture.

Items used are Stampin' Up! except the Scripture:
Stamp Set: Word Play (inside)
Artisan Embellishments Kit
Card Stock: Very Vanilla
Ink: Regal Rose for stamping and sponging
Scripture from online (uncertain at this time where I got it, If you recognize it, please let me know)

Thanks for looking and enjoy your day!
